Wensheng Lin (Member, IEEE) received the B.Eng. degree in communication engineering, and the M.Eng. degree in electronic and communication engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China, in 2013 and 2016, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in information science from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Ishikawa, Japan, in 2019. His doctoral study was fully funded by the Chinese Government Scholarship awarded from the China Scholarship Council (CSC). He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Electronics and Information, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Xi'an, China. His research interests include network information theory, distributed source coding, and semantic communications. He was the recipient of the prestigious 2019 Niwa Yasujiro Outstanding Paper Award, and 2019 IEEE Nagoya Section Conference Presentation Award. He was selected into the 8th Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST).
