My research aims to clarify the prostate stem cell lineage hierarchy and discover new therapeutic targets for prostate cancer. Ongoing research projects include 1) Live prostate stem cell isolation and functional characterization; 2) Identify the biomarkers for prostate cancer stem-like cells; 3) Elucidate the pathways through which environmental toxicants (e.g. PFAS, BPA, arsenic, dioxin) alter prostate stem cell homeostasis and predispose to prostate diseases.
