Weiguo Xie(谢卫国)

Graduated from Medical College in 1982, once a postdoctoral fellow at Yale University in USA and a visiting physician at Luebeck Medical University in Germane, Dr. Xie is now the director of the burn center. Having worked for 40 years in burns, plastic and reconstructive surgery, he is famous for many outstanding achievements, such as the internationally first successful survived 100% burned child, internationally first cross transplantation of upper limbs for an electric burn case, the first 3D printing hand prosthesis in China. He has published 21 books and chapters, more than 300 papers, of which 141 first or corresponding author, and 28 national expert consensuses. Under his leadership, the burn center reached to the few top ones, with the high level of treatment and the biggest annual numbers of admissions and outpatients in China. He is the founder of the first charity foundation, Central China Burn Foundation for Burned Women and Children, and the first Burn Patients Association in China. In 2002, Dr.Xie led a Chinese medical group to Peru to rescue burn victims from a big fire disaster and they were highly praised by the Peruvian government for their successful treatments. He has won many Awards and prizes for his excellent achievements.
