Scientific Supervisor/Consultant of the PhD thesis:
1. "The Importance of Multimorbidity Patient’s Healthcare Model and Innovative Diabetes Treatment and Monitoring for Patient Clinical Outcomes". The aim of our research was to assess the frequency (percentage) of chronic conditions co-occurring with diabetes in multimorbid Lithuanian population. Data of 103367 patients with diabetes have analyzed. 2017–2022. PhD student: Antanas Bliūdžius. Supervisor: prof. Vytautas Kasiulevičius.
2. "Physical Activity Evaluation Using Wearable for the Patient with Prediabetes to Prevent Type 2 Diabetes". Our research aimed to analyze the potential of patient physical activity monitoring using Fitbit physical activity trackers and find solutions for possible implementation in the health care routine. 2018–2024. PhD student: Kristina Švaikevičienė. Supervisor: prof. Vytautas Kasiulevičius.
3. "The influence of comorbidities on the course of cronic obstructive pulmonary disease". 2015–2022. PhD student: Elena Jurevičienė. Consultant: prof. Vytautas Kasiulevičius.
4. "Evaluation of the factors that affect patients’ satisfaction with primary health care services". 2014–2018. PhD student: Rima Kavalnienė. Supervisor: prof. Vytautas Kasiulevičius.
Main projects:
1. “COVID-19 sero-epidemiological study of the adult population”. Funded by the state budget in accordance with the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania. Investigator, 2020-2021.
2. CHRODIS PLUS: Implementing good practice for chronic diseases. CHRODIS PLUS is a three-year initiative (2017-2020) funded by the European Commission and participating organisations. Chrodis plus – researcher.
3. JA-CHRODIS is chronic disease joint action programme and three-year initiative (2014–2017) led by the Institute of Health Carlos III and is being funded by the European Commission and the participating parties. JA - Chrodis – researcher.
4. PrimcareIT (2012–2014 ) – coordinator at hospital level, researcher. The overall aim of PrimCareIT was to raise the attractiveness of remote primary health care for medical professionals by the means of tele consultation and tele-mentoring in the Baltic Sea Region.
5. LITGEN (2011–2015) – researcher. The aim of this study was to perform a comparative evaluation of CNV characteristics in the Lithuanian population to address questions about the origin and genetic structure of the present day population.
Scientific interests: family medicine and community health, evidence based medicine, multimorbidity, cardiovascular prevention, Covid-19.
