Jurenas Vytautas

Vytautas Jūrėnas received MSc and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering in 1979 and 1986, respectively, from Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) in Lithuania. During 1987-2022 he worked on design, fabrication and testing of piezoelectric transducers, application of functional materials (piezoactive and shaped memory material, electro- and magnetorheological suspensions, etc.) in the development of new products for modern technologies: space research devices, medical probes, biomedical devices, laser technology. He is the author of over 100 articles, 2 Euro patents and 2 books on piezomechanics and vibration dynamics. Currently he is chief researcher, professor and leading the Laboratory of Robotics and Piezomechanics at the Institute of Mechatronics in KTU.
