In 2008 he established Hydrogen Safety Engineering and Research Centre (HySAFER), one of the key providers of safety research and education globally. Prof Molkov coordinates(ed)/participates(ed) in major European and UK projects related to hydrogen safety. He champions hydrogen safety research in the UK through the EPSRC H2FC Hub. External funding during 2004-2019 is £8M. The thrust is on theoretical and numerical studies, and strong international collaboration with experimental centers of excellence.
