Tiitu Virpi

Virpi Tiitu was born in Lapua, Finland, in 1971. She received her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Biology, from the University of Joensuu, Finland in 1998 and 2002, respectively. Currently she acts as senior lecturer of Human Anatomy at the Department of Medicine, Institute of Biomedicine, Anatomy, University of Eastern Finland. She also works as a project manager in Biomater Center, University of Eastern Finland. Her current research interests include cartilage biology and tissue engineering.
