I conduct research in a broad range of topics related to sustainable development and human rights. I’m particularly interested in the social dimensions of environmental degradation and climate change, such as the impacts of social inequalities and gender-based violence.
I currently work on a series of Social-Life Cycle Assessments for the private sector and increasingly focus on applying research learning to design and implement sustainability programs that reduce businesses' negative environmental and social impacts.
I worked, and regularly collaborate with grassroots organisations and NGOs in the fields of disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation and resilience, energy transition and in humanitarian contexts to support the translation of research findings into practical projects that try and alleviate poverty and inequalities.
I specialise in collaborative research with the view to use empirical evidence to support more sustainable policies, projects and value chains and tackle human rights abuse. I have a track record of having conducted and trained practitioners and researchers in doing gender analyses, gender action plans, risks, vulnerability & capacities assessments, in collaboration with universities, civil society organisations, NGOs & the Red Cross/Red Crescent movement.
