I am interested in the evolution of the insects, particularly ants and wasps (Hymenoptera), and the paleoecology of amber forests. I have been working on various amber deposits, with the latest focus on the Cretaceous from France, Myanmar and Congo, and the Miocene of Ethiopia and China. I am also part of an international team interested in the processes of resin production and amber formation, which involves actuo-paleontological studies in New Caledonia and some tropical forests.
