Veterinarian, graduated from the Universidad Nacional (UNA, Heredia, Costa Rica) and with a PhD in Veterinary Parasitology at the University for Veterinary Medicine (Hannover, Germany). Research interests are the distribution and taxonomy of ticks on Central America, also vector-borne diseases, parasitic zoonosis and parasitosis in farm and companion animals. Research with teaching parasitology at the Vet School of UNA. Besides my job, I like alternative movies and Latin Rock
