My research studies mechanisms of ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) after transplantation and therapies for IRI or ARDS. Mechanisms being studied include: TRPV4/Piezo1/Panx1 channels, endothelial barrier dysruption, purinergic signaling, innate immune cells, epithelial/endothelial injury, cytokines, inflammation, DAMPs, and oxidative stress.
