Bio
As lead researcher for the Cookstoves Laboratory and the Reacting Flow Applications Laboratory at Berkeley Lab, I conduct multifaceted scientific research to advance innovative technologies for improving health and clean energy applications. Currently, my research includes developing an adaptive computational tool that predicts bioproduct and biofuel properties for validation and certification; low emissions burner technologies for combustion appliances and distributed energy generation; advanced biomass cookstoves for the developing world; and a low-cost, robust warmer for preventing neonatal hypothermia.
