I work on the interaction of stress response signaling with components of the Psycho-Immune-Neuro-Energy (PINE) network and on potential influencing factors such as early life adversity, chronic stress, and genetic predisposition. My work aims at finding novel biomarkers for prevention, diagnosis, and monitoring of treatment success. My most commonly used wet-lab techniques are (primary) cell culture, qPCR, HPLC-MS/MS, NGS, IHC, respirometry, genotyping, statistical modelling, and data analysis.
