Valerio Isoni received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in organic and biomolecular chemistry from the Sapienza – University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 2007 and 2009, respectively, the Ph.D. degree in synthetic chemistry from the University of Southampton, Southampton, U.K., in 2013, and the M.Sc. degree in innovation from the Singapore Management University, Singapore, in 2019. He is currently a Senior Scientist with the Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment, Singapore. In the Pharmaceutical Innovative Programme Singapore, an industry-led platform which aims to synergistically and strategically bring together public sector research capabilities and domain expertise of the pharmaceutical industry, he coleads the Plant Operations work stream. His research interests include promising sustainable technologies in the chemical space tested under simulated industrial conditions for proof-of-concept studies, demonstrations, but also applied research for real industrial problems. This includes water-based chemistry, mechanochemistry, continuous/flow chemistry, sustainability evaluations, and green chemistry methodologies.
