Valeri Arakelyan

Valeri M. Arakelyan was born in 1946. He received the Doctor degree in physics, math, and science from the Institute of Radiophysics and Electronics, Ashtarak, Armenia, in 1982. He was Head of the Research Laboratory at the Department of Physics of Semiconductor and Microelectronics (2000–2007), and up to now Chief Executive Officer of the Center of Semiconductor Devices and Nanotechnologies at Yerevan State University (YSU). His main research areas are physical properties of new semiconductor materials and structures, photoelectrochemical conversion of solar energy (solar cells), chemical sensors, e-nose, and nanoelectronics
