Valentina Grande

The geospatial science is my research area. I deal with habitat mapping in coastal, shallow and deep environments at different levels and I project and realize Spatial Data Infrastructure for marine interdisciplinary data. I work with workflows and Research Objects in a Virtual Research Environment for Earth Science. As GIS expert, I take care of the technical part of the research products (such as cartography) and I manage data and metadata, basing on EU Directive (e.g. INSPIRE Directive, MSFD) and standard (e.g. OGC, ISO). In the last 6 years, I participated to several marine surveys, dealing with different devices, platforms and contests. My major activities are the acquisition of geophysics data, but I am a good support in ROV explorations and biological/geological sampling.
