Victor Krauthamer received the B.S. degree in biology from the City College of New York, NY, USA, and the M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in neuroscience from the State University of New York, Buffalo. He was a Postdoctoral Researcher in electrophysiology at the New York Medical College on multichannel optical recording from neurons. He held a faculty position in physiology at Nova-Southeastern University, Florida, USA. Currently, he is a Scientist in the U.S. Public Health Service, Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH), U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Silver Spring, MD, USA. He is the Director of the Division of Biomedical Physics, within CDRH. The division has working groups in neuroscience, cardiac electrophysiology, electromagnetics, optics and functional performance as related to medical devices.
