Ulisses Miranda Azeiteiro

Ulisses M Azeiteiro is Associate Professor with Aggregation [Habilitation and Tenure], Coordinator of the Climate Change and Biodiversity Assets Unit and Coordinator of the Laboratory of Global Changes in Marine Systems from the Biology Department and Integrated Member [Senior Researcher] of the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) at University of Aveiro in Portugal. His main interests are the Impacts of Climate Change in the Marine Environment (Biology and Ecology of Global Change) and Adaptation to Climate Change in the Context of Sustainable Development (Socio-environmental Sustainability and Climate Change). Professor Ulisses M Azeiteiro is Research Coordinator since 2008 (Research Line Long Term Ecological Response to Global Changes at IMAR-CMA – Marine and Environmental Research from 2008 to 2010 and Research Group Social-Economic Governance and Sustainability from the Centre for Functional Ecology, hosted by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at University of Coimbra from 2010 to 2016). Professor Ulisses M Azeiteiro was member of several evaluation panels from research projects and grants (International, European and National - Portuguese and outside Portugal) (>30 positions), member of the organizing and scientific committees international and national congresses (>100) and refereed over 150 manuscripts for scientific journals. He was member of more than 200 exam panels for viva voice examinations (for PhD and MSc) and career assessment and supervised over 75 Postgraduate students (MSc and PhD students). Professor Ulisses M Azeiteiro has written, co-written, edited or co-edited more than 300 publications, including books, book chapters, Special Issues of Scientific Journals and papers in refereed journals (Web of Science h-index of 28 and 30 H-index from SCOPUS).
