Toshiyuki Kawasaki was born in Fukuoka, Japan, in 1974. He received the B.E., M.E., and D.E. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from Oita University, Oita, Japan, in 1997, 1999, and 2002, respectively. From 2002 to 2004, he was a Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering, Nippon Bunri University, Oita, where he was an Associate Professor, in 2005. He is currently a Professor with Nishinippon Institute of Technology, Fukuoka. His current research interests include atmospheric pressure plasma jets, spatiotemporal measurement of reactive oxygen species, sterilization, and plasma medicine.
