Tomas Vaclavik

I apply GIScience in ecology and environmental research. Guided by the conceptual framework of Landscape Ecology, my work strives to understand the effects of natural and anthropogenic processes, especially land-use change, on biodiversity and ecosystem services. I pursue interdisciplinary research that combines ecological theories with field and remote sensing data, spatial analysis and predictive modeling to address spatial dimensions of human-environment problems.
