Tobias Engl

Tobias Engl currently works at the Department of Insect Symbiosis at the Max Planck Institute for Chemical Ecology in Jena, Germany. He does research in the field of chemical ecology and evolution of insect microbe symbiosis. One project includes the chemistry of antimicrobial defense of beewolf digger wasps against mold fungi. A further field of research ist the ecology of nutrient supplementing bacteria in the context of cuticle synthesis in beetles.
