Tjeerd M. H. Dijkstra received the M.Sc. degree in physics from the University of Utrecht, Utrecht, The Netherlands, in 1988 and the Ph.D. degree in biophysics from the University of Nijmegen, Nijmegen, The Netherlands, in 1994. After a post-doctoral position in psychology at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, he held a faculty position in psychology at The Ohio State University, Columbus. From 2005 to 2009, he worked at the hearing-aid company GN ReSound in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. His research interests include human perception, both visual and auditory, human motor control, bioinformatics, and systems biology.
