Tiziano Passerini

Tiziano Passerini is a post-doctoral researcher at Emory University, holding a joint position at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and at the Division of Cardiology. His main research interests are the computational modeling of biomechanics problems, in particular blood flow problems. He earned his PhD in Mathematical Models and Methods in Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, with a dissertation entitled “Computational hemodynamics of the cerebral circulation: multiscale modeling from the circle of Willis to cerebral aneurysms”. From Politecnico di Milano he also earned a Master degree in Biomedical Engineering. He is currently an active developer of the C++ software LifeV, a library of numerical methods for the solution of differential problems.
