Tiffany Kataria

Tiffany Kataria received dual B. S. degrees in Physics and Astronomy and Planetary Sciences from Stony Brook University in 2009. She then received her Ph.D. in Planetary Sciences from the University of Arizona in 2014. Dr. Kataria was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Exeter from 2014-2016, then joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a scientist in the Astrophysics and Space Sciences Division in 2016. Dr. Kataria's scientific research focuses on the dynamics and chemistry in the atmospheres of transiting and directly imaged exoplanets, including their atmospheric characterization using ground- and space-based telescopes. She is currently a member of the executive committee of the Exoplanetary Program Analysis Group (ExoPA G) and is currently serving as a member on the Panel on Exoplanets, Astrobiology, and the Solar System for the Decadal Survey on Astronomy and Astrophysics (Astro2020) convened by the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine.
