Thomas Leung

Thomas Wai Hong Leung received the M.B. Ch.B. degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), Hong Kong, China in 1995. He is currently a Lee Quo Wei Professor of neurology with CUHK, Hong Kong, and the Director and Consultant of the Acute Stroke Unit, Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick, NSW, Australia. He focused on intracranial atherosclerosis and stroke imaging. He has authored or coauthored papers in Annals of Neurology, Neurology, Stroke, and Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Psychiatry. Dr. Leung is a Co-Chair of the Global Executive Committee of Mission Thrombectomy 2020, and an initiative of the Society of Vascular and Interventional Neurology to improve access to emergency thrombectomy for ischemic stroke. He is an Assistant Editor for the Stroke, an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Stroke, and a Guest Associate Editor for the Frontiers in Neurology. He is a member of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and a Fellow of the European Stroke Organization and the American Heart Association.
