Bio
T homas P.J. H ofer received his PhD in cell biology at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He is presently a postdoctoral fellow with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Human Studies Division, through an appointment with the Center for Environmental Medicine, Asthma, and Lung Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research interests include the pathogenesis of COPD and the molecular mechanisms of particulate matter-induced injury in the lung.
