Thomas A. Neumann

Tom Neumann received the B.A. degree from the University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA, in 1996, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, in 2003. Since 2008, he has been with the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Greenbelt MD, USA, where he leads the ICESat-2 Mission as the Project Scientist. His background is in ice-sheet science, and he has published on various aspects of ice-sheet growth, decay, and motion. He has lead or participated in 11 science expeditions in Greenland and Antarctica.
