个人简介
Thierry Ondarçuhu was born in Oloron Sainte Marie, France, in 1966. He is an Engineer from the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielle, Paris, France, and received the Ph.D. degree from the Laboratoire de Physique de la Matière Condensée of Collège de France, Paris.
After a Postdoctoral at the University of Navarra, Pamplona, Spain, he joined the CNRS in 1993 as “chargé de recherche” in the Collège de France, where he studied wetting and adhesion phenomena. in 1996, he moved to the Nanosciences Group of CEMES, Toulouse, to study methods of local deposition and manipulation of molecules. for carbon nanotubes, he developed a technique based on capillarity which led to the development of many new nanotube devices. More recently, he worked on an AFM-based liquid lithography technique (NADIS) which allows the deposition of nanodroplets on a surface. in parallel with the development of these methods, he investigates, from a more fundamental point-of-view, capillarity and wetting processes at nanometer scale.
Dr. Ondarçuhu was awarded in 1998 the Bronze Medal of the CNRS.
