Theresa B Kuhlenschmidt

Theresa Kuhlenschmidt received the B.A. degree in biology from Spalding University, Louisville, KY, and the Ph.D. degree in biology from The Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. She was a Research Assistant in the Department of Biochemistry, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biochemistry, and Director of the University of Illinois Radioisotope Laboratory, University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. She is currently a Research Scientist in the Department of Pathobiology, University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Her research interests include, receptor-mediated endocytosis, carbohydrate binding proteins, cell-surface complex carbohydrate biochemistry, and mechanisms of microbial adhesion and gastrointestinal infectious disease pathogenesis.
