Takuma Tsurugaya

Takuma Tsurugaya was born in Gunma, Japan, in 1992. He received the B.E. and M.E. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In 2018, he joined NTT Device Technology Laboratories, Atsugi, Japan. His research interests include development of photonic-crystal nanolasers and application of semiconductor optical devices for photonic neural networks. He is a Member of the Japan Society of Applied Physics and Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers. He was the recipient of the Young Scientist Presentation Award from the JSAP in 2021 and the Young Researcher's Award from the IEICE in 2022.
