个人简介
Takeshi Tsuji received a Ph.D. (2007) from the Department of Earth and Planetary Science, the University of Tokyo, Japan. From 2007 to 2012, he was an assistant professor of engineering geology at Kyoto University while researching at the rock physics laboratory of Stanford University from 2010 to 2011. From 2012 to 2016, he was an associate professor of International Institute for Carbon-Neutral Energy Research (I2CNER), Kyushu University. From 2017 to 2021, he worked as a professor in Department of Earth Resources Engineering, Kyushu University. From 2014 to 2021, he has been a Lead Principal Investigator of Multiscale Science and Engineering for Energy and the Environment Thrust of I2CNER. From 2022, he was appointed as a professor in Department of Systems Innovation, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo.
His research ranges over various topics, including geophysics, seismology, hydrology, geology, geodesy, and planetary science. He has published more than 160 peer-reviewed papers, and he won awards from the Seismological Society of Japan (SSJ), the Geological Society of Japan (GSJ), and the International Union of Geodesy and Geophysics (IUGG). He also received the Young Scientists’ Prize from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan, and the Western Japan Cultural Award.
