I studied chemistry at the University of Tokyo, and was awarded a PhD fellowship from JSPS and obtained PhD (Sci) from the University of Tokyo, Japan. After a one-year post-doctorate at the University of Tokyo, I joined a bioengineering laboratory at RIKEN, Japan. After that, I joined the ISIR, Osaka University, Japan.
