Thierry Pelaccia in an emergency physician, deputy chief of service of the Emergency Prehospital Emergency Care Service (SAMU 67). He owns a PhD in education (Sherbrooke, Canada - Strasbourg, France) and a master in labor sciences (Political Sciences Institute of Strasbourg). He is the director of the Center for Training and Research in Health Sciences Education (CFRPS), whose main field of research is clinical reasoning. He has a special interest in decision-making in emergency medicine. He coordinates within the CFRPS the initial and continuing training of health sciences teachers, a master in health sciences education, an inter-university degree in medicaducation and a university degree in simulation in healthcare. He also teaches emergency medicine in several places and degrees.
