个人简介
Whilst working on advanced CMOS devices at IBM Research, she recognized the transformative potential of CMOS technology in addressing unmet societal needs in healthcare, and medicine. This realization motivated her to teach herself biology and initiate, develop and lead a project on CMOS compatible electronic biosensors with the goal of demonstrating sensors that would push frontiers of science with applications in healthcare and IoT (e.g., sustainable agriculture, environment). This small-budgeted biosensing project has achieved significant scientific and translational success in a short time. The project resulted in patent licensing, technology transfer for volume production in a CMOS foundry*(see the link for press release and coverage) and significant external funding. In summary, her biosensor research has creatively leveraged the CMOS technology to demonstrate innovative biosensors, thus addressing global challenges such as advanced and equitable healthcare and sustainable agriculture.
