Bio

I am a Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine with a joint appointment in Epidemiology the School of Public Health. My primary research focus is the genetics of inflammatory bowel disease. I am interested in genetic epidemiology, genetics in diverse and admixed populations, environmental risk factors, and genomics related to inflammatory bowel disease, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. I am also a practicing gastroenterologist with a focus on management and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease
