Stephen C. Benz

Stephen C. Benz (sBenz@soe.ucsc.edu) received a master's degree in bioinformatics in 2010 from the University of California, Santa Cruz and has been working as a lead developer on the University of California Cancer Genomics Browser since 2007. He received a B.A. degree in computer science from Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, where he was the lead developer on a number of genomics projects. He has also completed research internships at both the University of California, San Francisco and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in Novato, California, where he worked on streamlining microarray analysis pipelines. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
