Bio
The main goals of Dr. Ameis’ research are to: 1) identify brain-based biomarkers of childhood mental illness, 2) understand how existing and novel (i.e., medications, behavioural therapies, brain stimulation) interventions/treatments work using advanced brain imaging approaches, 3) identify biomarkers of treatment response using longitudinal brain imaging to personalize treatments for children and adolescents with mental illness, and 4) share knowledge of evidence-based interventions with local and international stakeholders.
