Stefanie Walch

Stefanie Walch-Gassner is a full professor of theoretical astrophysics leading the theoretical astrophysics group and is the managing director at I. Physics Institute, University of Cologne, 50937, Cologne, Germany, and vice director at the Center for Data and Simulation Science, University of Cologne. Her research interests include the physics of the interstellar medium, star formation and stellar feedback as well as the development of new methods and algorithms for high-performance computing, in particular magneto-hydrodynamics, radiative transfer, and astrochemistry. Walch-Gassner received her diploma in physics and the Ph.D. degree (Dr.rer.nat.) in astrophysics from the Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, Munich, Germany.
