Stefan Morscher

Stefan Morscher received the Diploma degree in engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, in 2011. His master’s thesis was on optoacoustic imaging under Prof. Vasilis Ntziachristos. After his Diploma degree, he joined Research and Development Team, iThera Medical GmbH, Munich, to make multispectral optoacoustic tomography (MSOT) available to the scientific community, where he is currently leading research and development efforts for software and algorithms to translate the preclinical success story of MSOT to clinical applications. He maintains close ties with many researchers in the field of optoacoustics to enable a full understanding of all aspects of optoacoustic imaging and pushes for standardization of photoacoustic imaging under IPASC.
