Stavros Nonis

Stavros Nonis is a postdoc researcher in the field of astroparticle physics at the physics Laboratory in the Hellenic Open University, Greece. His subject includes radio detection of cosmic rays air showers in urban environments. His PhD thesis is entitled «Radio detection of cosmic rays air showers in urban environment», and was elaborated at the University of the Aegean, Greece. He holds a bachelor’s in physics from University of Athens, Greece and a Master of Advanced Studies in Physics from Hellenic Open University, Greece. His educational background includes a scientific trip for a month learning how to reduce CODALEMA radio cosmic ray data in Ecole de Mines, Nantes, France (2016) and in LOFAR radio cosmic ray experiment in Radboud University, Nijmegen, The Netherlands (2011). He has worked on Monte Carlo simulations of the radio emission from extensive air showers and in shower reconstruction from his radio signal.
