I am the director of the Telomere Research Network (https://trn.tulane.edu/). My laboratory studies the interaction between early life adversity and genetic and epigenetic factors on child physiologic, psychologic, and cognitive development, with a focus on health disparities and the multigenerational effect of structural racism. Current studies examine the impact of early institutional care on telomere length in young adults and the link to cardiovascular risk factors, among other studies.
