Besides cancer biology, which is the main focus of her career, she is now currently focused on exploring the effects of tumor suppressors in the host environment in the regulation of inflammation and defining how this could have an impact on the progression of different diseases. She is also oriented in studying NLRP3 inflammasome involvement in cancer and in neurodegenerative disorders.
