Somnath Paul

Somnath Paul (S’07–M’11) received the B.E. degree in electronics and telecommunication engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, and the Ph.D. degree in computer engineering from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH, USA. He is currently a Research Scientist with the Circuit Research Laboratory, Intel Labs, Intel Corporation, Hillsboro, OR, USA. His primary research interest is circuit-architecture co-design for energy-efficient and reliable machine learning hardware in nanoscale technologies. Dr. Paul was a recipient of the 2011 Outstanding Dissertation Award from European Design and Automation Association and the 2012 Best Paper Award in International Conference on VLSI Design.
