Summary:
I am a dedicated and highly experienced Advanced and Research Laboratory Testing Engineer currently employed at GEOLABS Limited in London, UK. My expertise lies in the field of geotechnical engineering with a focus on soil mechanics and ground improvement. Over the years, I have conducted extensive research, published numerous articles, and supervised graduate students, contributing significantly to the geotechnical engineering community.
Research Interests:
My research interests encompass a wide range of topics within geotechnical engineering, including but not limited to:
Ground Improvement: I specialize in developing innovative and sustainable methods for ground improvement. My research has explored the use of zero carbon emission materials, nanomaterials, and recycled materials to stabilize problematic soils.
Soil Mechanics: I have a keen interest in understanding the small and large strain stiffnesses of soils, particularly reinforced bimodal sandy soils. Investigating the anisotropic behavior of soils, including fiber-reinforced sands, has been a focal point of my research.
Material Characterization: I have conducted extensive experiments and published research on the hydro-mechanical properties of various soil and composite materials, including sand-bentonite mixtures, rubber additives, and colloidal nanosilica.
Ground Engineering: My work extends to practical applications in ground engineering, such as the design of foundations, landfill liners, and offshore wind turbine projects. I actively contribute to the field by conducting advanced soil testing and instrumentation design.
Professional Experience:
I have a strong academic background, including a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering from Urmia University in Iran.
My post-doctoral research at National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan allowed me to broaden my expertise and engage in cutting-edge research in geotechnical engineering.
Teaching Experience:
I have taught a variety of courses in civil engineering, soil mechanics, and advanced soil mechanics at universities in Iran, Cyprus, and Taiwan.
My teaching experience also extends to laboratory tutorials and mentoring graduate students.

I am an active member of the Iranian Society of Geotechnical (IGS) and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) in the UK, demonstrating my commitment to professional development and networking in the field.
