Shu-Wei Huang received the B.S. degree from National Taiwan University and the Ph.D. degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both in Electrical Engineering. He is an Assistant Professor with the University of Colorado Boulder, with research interests in ultrafast phenomena, nanophotonics, biophotonics, and THz technologies. He was awarded the 2012 Jin-Au Kong Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Prize for breaking the single-cycle barrier in high-energy coherent light sources. In 2015, he received the AFOSR Young Investigator Award for his work on the miniaturization of ultrashort light sources in CMOS-compatible platforms. He has given 16 invited talks and published over 50 peer-reviewed papers with more than 3000 citations. He currently serves in the organizing committees of CLEO and IEEE IPC.
