Shruti Vig

Shruti Vig received the baccalaureate degree in biomedical engineering from SASTRA University, Thanjavur, India, in 2017. She is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree with the Fischell Department of Bioengineering, University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA. From 2017 to 2018, she was a Research Trainee in the renal division with the Harvard Institute of Medicine. She joined the Optical Therapeutics and Nanotechnology Laboratory, University of Maryland, in 2019. Her current research interests focus on employing nanotechnology platforms along with sonodynamic therapy to target the blood-brain tumor barrier. Ms. Vig is the recipient of the MPower Doctoral Fellowship.
