Shay Maymon (S'11) received the B.Sc. degree and the M.Sc. degree both in electrical engineering from Tel-Aviv University (TAU), Tel-Aviv, Israel, in 1998 and 1999, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, in 2011. While at MIT, he was a Research Assistant with the Digital Signal Processing Group (DSPG). He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher with the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY. Outside academia, he served for six years as an R&D engineer in a leading technological unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). From 2007 to 2009, he held the Fulbright fellowship for Ph.D. studies in Electrical Engineering at MIT. Dr. Maymon has received a number of awards including the President and Rector Award for outstanding graduate students at TAU, the Frederick C. Hennie Teaching Award for Teaching Excellence at MIT, and the Dean's Award for Teaching Excellence at TAU.
