Shavindra P. Premaratne received the bachelor’s degree in information technology from the University of Colombo, Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2011, the B.Sc. degree in physics from the University of Peradeniya, Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2013, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from University of Maryland, College Park, MD, USA, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. He joined Intel Labs, Hillsboro, OR, USA, in 2018, as a Quantum Systems Engineer and a Research Scientist, working in the Quantum Applications & Architecture Group. He has broad experience in quantum device control & design, quantum & microwave simulations, and systems modeling & testing. His primary responsibility is in the integration of the quantum computing full-stack, which spans several disparate groups within Intel.
