Sergio Moreno

The main interest of my group is to understand how cells coordinate cell growth and division with cell differentiation. In particular, we focus our attention on the function of TOR, the central controller of cell growth, the Cdk/cyclin complexes, essential components of the cell cycle machinary and the anaphase promoting complex or ciclosome (APC/C). We use the fission yeast Schizosaccharomyces pombe, as a unicellular model organism and the mouse as a multicellular system.
