个人简介
Sergey V. Polyakov received the Ph.D. degree in optics from the University of Central Florida, Orlando, in 1998 and the M.S. degree in physics (cum laude) from the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia, in 2003.
As a Postdoctoral Scholar, he continued his research in the field of quantum information and atomic physics at California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, where he demonstrated the feasibility of an ensemble of neutral atoms to produce and store single photons and qbits. His current research interest include generation, storage and detection of nonclassical states of light. He is the author or coauthor of more than 40 peer-reviewed papers and contributed to more than 50 conference presentations, including over 10 invited.
Dr. Polyakov is currently a member of the Research Faculty of Joint Quantum Institute of University of Maryland, College Park, and a Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Gaithersburg, MD.
